Frequently Asked Questions

 When does school registration open?

We begin enrolling children who are currently attending Hopwood in the beginning in December for the following school year. From there, we accept registrations on a first come first serve basis. Note, enrollment is not considered final until we receive the registration application and $100 registration fee.

How do I obtain information on school programs?

Feel free to call our office 215-368-1135 or send us a message! We would be happy to help you set-up a tour, provide registration information or help you with any questions you may have!

Can you tell me about your school curriculum?

We follow the High Scope curriculum where active learning is at the core. Our beautiful farm-like setting encourages our children to learn by doing, engage through natural play with the environment, people and event. We strongly believe in our curriculum as our children build social, emotional and academic skills for life-long learning.

Are you a licensed facility?

Yes! We are licensed under the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services which a part of the Office of Child Development & Early Learning (“OCDEL”). Additionally, our camp is licensed under the Montgomery Department of Health.

How do I obtain tax information?

For school, you can access your annual tax statements via Procare. For camp, you can access your annual tax statements via Campsite.

What are the qualifications of your staff?

Our teachers are all certified teaching professionals. Additionally, our entire staff maintain all required state required childcare clearances. Our staff also maintains current certifications of First Aid, CPR & Water safety.

Do you take the school kids outside?

Absolutely! We promote backyard play which we believe is critical for early childhood learning. We have a 2,000 square foot pavilion which allows for year-round play even when it’s snowing or raining outside!

When does camp registration open for the summer season?

We send out camp open enrollment launch dates at the end of December. We launch camp in three separate enrollment periods (currently enrolled school families, returning camp families and new families).

Do you take camp field trips?

With the safety of our children as a main priority, we offer exciting on-campus events to eliminate travel time and to increase time having fun! How do rock walls, huge water slides and magic shows sound?

Can you tell me about the swimming pools at camp?

We maintain the highest level of supervision and safety at our pools during the summer months. Our lifeguards are Red Cross lifeguard certified and are also trained in first aid, CPR and water safety. In addition to our experienced lifeguard staff, we maintain a 1:5 ratio (1 adult to 5 children) at the swimming pool and have an experienced pool supervisor to keep our children safe and having fun.

What happens if I am waitlisted for camp?

We will send you an email closer to the changes / cancellation date in late March if we are able to take your camper off the waitlist. We work very hard to accommodate the children in our community but we limit our group capacities to accommodate each group safely. You will ultimately be notified by our last payment deadline in early May if we were not able to accommodate your camper.
